Plaid is the second studio album by guitarist Blues Saraceno, released on February 28, 1992 through Guitar Recordings. All tracks written by Blues Saraceno, except where noted. Hot on the heels of Plaid s recent Digging Remedy album comes this new EP. Ooyu sounds like a big band sucked down an IDM wormhole with horns, woodwind and keys lit up by electronic melodies. Rab and Odica come closer to the typical Plaid sound; the former is a jittery, rattling rhythm underscored by gentle off beats and chopped up melodies, while the latter is an abstract workout, populated by buzzing tones. The only track that sees the UK pair flirt with convention is the deep techno of Elevator

Anyways, really looking forward to this new album. These guys just keep flying along under the radar, seemingly never getting the props they deserve, but their output is consistently excellent.
