The Ultimate Collection is a 3-CD anthology of recordings by Grace Jones, released in 2006 by Universal. Although usually listed as a box set, The Ultimate Collection is packaged in a double gatefold cardboard sleeve, and was released by the Dutch label CCM, a subsidiary of Universal Music Holland. CCM had previously issued similar 3-CD sets by artists like Donna Summer, Barry White, Diana Ross, Kool & the Gang, Dusty Springfield and others.

The Universal Masters Collection (Grace Jones album). The Universal Masters Collection is a mid-price compilation of recordings by Grace Jones, first released by Universal Music in 2003. With the exception of "La Vie en rose" from the 1977 album Portfolio, the 13-track package focuses on material from Jones' Compass Point trilogy: Warm Leatherette (1980), Nightclubbing (1981), and Living My Life (1982).

Grace Jones' The Collection, released in 2004 by the Spectrum offshoot of Universal . found enough room for a demo of "Ring of Fire" (a Johnny Cash cover) but decided not to include "Pull Up to the Bumper," one of the singer's biggest singles (if not the biggest). It's one of few flaws, but it is a massive flaw, and it makes the disc a wasted opportunity. Otherwise, the disc covers a lot of ground, despite cutting off at 1982 (so "Slave to the Rhythm" isn't here, either).

Grace Jones had only achieved moderate commercial success with her first three disco albums, so with her fourth release, Warm Leatherette, she reinvented herself both visually and musically. Blending reggae and rock, the album covers songs by The Pretenders, Roxy Music and Smokey Robinson among others. The album’s song co-written by Jones A Rolling Stone became the lead single in the UK. Slave to the Rhythm. After her modeling stint in New York, Grace Jones released her debut album in 1977 called Portfolio which marked her out as a serious disco diva.

She has made herself and her music an artform. This album covers a whole spectrum of songs from the reggae influenced 'Living my Life' album through the disco beats of the 'Portfolio' album and back to her hard faced rap attacks that make her style.
