Rude boy, rudeboy, rudie, rudi, and rudy are slang terms that originated in 1960s Jamaican street culture, and that are still used today. In the late 1970s, the 2 Tone ska revival in England saw the terms rude boy and rude girl, among other variations, being used to describe fans of that genre. This use of the word moved into the more contemporary ska punk movement as well. In the UK, the terms rude boy and rude girl are used in a similar way to gangsta or badman.

A Rude Boy's attire would include a white button up and thin tie under a closed black blazer top with matching dress pants, A Black Ferdora with an occasional white stripe of fabric, and to top it off, sunglasses and classy skankin' boots- or loafers. Normally associated with the traditional two-tone ska scene, Rude Boys can now be seen as a nostalgic tribute for the more modern 3rd wave ska followers. The word 'Rude' is refrenced to Jamaican culture where it is slang for mischevious or obscene. Dub Incorporation – Rude Boy lyrics.

the youtube video of "give me a dub" is NOT the version on this record. clip can be found e.g. on the rolldabeats page.

It's all about Murder De Boy on this release - an absolute monster of a tune and typifies the sound of late 94 early 1995 and dare I say it, the emergence of Jump UpAs for the A-side, whats the point of comparing it, it'll never have the significance of the original so best not trying ;)

A rather dissapointing release. Give me a Dub is another version of the classic "Give me a Dub Plate/Mash Dem Down", which are allready both the same track with a couple of edits (different intro etc..) On this One Give me a Dub Plate gets a small rework dropping out the continuity of the vocals, the amen break and the gut-wrenching outro. Murder De Boy is actually "the" track on this record with a late jungle-feel to it. a bassline that sound a bit jazzy (and that slightly reminds of the bassline in Smokey Joe's VIP remix of give me a dubplate), a couple of sudden breakdowns and drops, and a very hostile phrases, the title says enough. The outro sounds like the one on Give me a Dub Plate worked really well. It's hard not to relate to Give me a Dub Plate/Mash Dem Down with this release but that's only because the most dissapointing track on this one is the one that should be the one to convince people because of the succes of "the classic release" Be sure to check it somewhere before you pay 30 pounds or more in the hope that it rasembles to the original because the A-side certainly doesn't
