Her album I Thought About You was the first nominated recording for a Juno Award in the Best Mainstream Jazz category in 1995. In March 2003 Ranee received her third JUNO nomination for Maple Groove: Songs From The Great Canadian Songbook, featuring selections from some of Canada’s greatest songwriters. In April 2010, Ranee won the JUNO Vocal Jazz Album of the year 2010 for the recording of Ranee Lee Lives UPSTAIRS.

I Thought About You: A Tribute to Chet Baker is the twenty-second studio album by Brazilian jazz pianist and singer Eliane Elias. It was released on May 28, 2013, via Concord Picante label. The album is dedicated to American jazz trumpeter and vocalist Chet Baker. On this record she performs famous jazz standards and compositions.

Ranee Lee has been Canada's most enjoyable, reliable jazz singer for many decades running, and shows no signs of slowing down over nearly a dozen albums. This live effort at the nightclub Upstairs in Montreal, Quebec, shows Lee still loves standards done her way, and adds a few tunes with a more contemporary tag placed on them.

Ranee Lee has been an integral part of the Canadian jazz scene since she arrived in Montreal in 1970 from her native Brooklyn, New York. She was a t whose voice seemed to be her most proficient and mellifluous axe. Her albums on Montreal's Justin Time label are considered classics.
