Ultimate Classic Rock explores the Eddie album covers from Iron Maiden. Just look at the friend he's chosen to run with - the devil himself! Actually things look even worse now. Look at who's on top, pulling invisible strings like a puppeteer - it seems like Eddie's the bad influence on Lucifer's shoulder now. 1983. Skip ahead a couple of years, and one encounter with the Devil himself on 1982's 'The Number of the Beast,' and it seems Eddie's been locked up in a padded cell for his crimes

The mix of songs includes the hits that Dean authored ("One Has My Name (The Other Has My Heart)," "I Dreamed of a Hillbilly Heaven"), plus a brace of songs associated with people that Dean worked with or traditions with which he was connected, among them Gene Autry's "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine," Bob Nolan's "Cool Water," and "Tumbling Tumbleweeds. Dean's rich baritone is startlingly good, and sufficiently expressive to carry a country-waltz version of "Somewhere, My Love (Lara's Theme)" from Doctor Zhivago that ought not to be as appealing as it is.

Christmas is the only holiday with such a large range of music that's integral to its festivities. Every culture, ethnicity, nationality and household that celebrates Christmas has a set of songs that are sometimes more important to them than a Christmas tree or gift. Indiana native Bobby Healm recorded Jingle Bell Rock in 1957, right when the American music scene was transitioning from its old country styled rock and roll sound to the rhythm & blues twang of the '60s rock and roll era. a new sound that came to be known as Rockabilly. Healms' recording of Joseph Carleton Beal and James Ross Boothe's composition was so popular that it repeatedly hit the billboard chart every year that it was re-released during the weeks before Christmas. 8. "Baby it's Cold Outside," Dean Martin. Nate King Cole's "The Christmas Song" will forever be synonymous with the Christmas season for every American household.

The ancient tower of a church, whose gruff old bell was always peeping slyly down at Scrooge out of a Gothic window in the wall, became invisible, and struck the hours and quarters in the clouds, with tremulous vibrations afterwards as if its teeth were chattering in its frozen head up there. The cold became intense. He did pause, with a moment's irresolution, before he shut the door; and he did look cautiously behind it first, as if he half-expected to be terrified with the sight of Marley's pigtail sticking out into the hall. But there was nothing on the back of the door, except the screws and nuts that held the knocker on, so he said "Pooh, pooh!" and closed it with a bang.
