Dynasty is the seventh studio album by the American rock band Kiss, produced by Vini Poncia and released by Casablanca Records on May 23, 1979. It was the first time that the four original members of Kiss did not all appear together for the entire album. In later interviews, the band admitted they started listening to outsiders about what direction the music should go in around the time of Dynasty.

The penultimate KISS album to be recorded by the original lineup, it was the beginning of the end for the classic era of the group. Teamwork was at an all time low, and the band was never all together to record the tracks, splicing it all together later. The album cover is itself a collage of four photos, not a group picture. This divisive record was also KISS’s first foray away from their traditional hard rock roots, featuring the disco classic I Was Made for Lovin' You, one of their biggest hits.

Dynasty is a studio album by the American hard rock band Kiss. The album, and its subsequent tour, were billed as the "Return of Kiss. The band as a full unit had not released a studio album since 1977 and had not toured since the Spring of 1978. The album would restore the band to commercial prominence, reaching 9 on the US Billboard album chart. Kiss enlisted Vini Poncia, who produced Peter Criss's solo album, to produce Dynasty
