Diamonds in the Rough is the second studio album by American country-folk singer-songwriter John Prine, released in 1972. Diamonds in the Rough was recorded at Atlantic Recording Studios in New York City. The album's sound homed in on the Appalachian "high lonesome" influences evident on Prine's eponymous debut LP and its bluegrass instrumentation reflects Prine's fascination with early American folk and country music.

Rough Diamonds is the sixth studio album by the English rock band Bad Company. The album was released in August 1982. Rough Diamonds, like its predecessor, Desolation Angels, was recorded at Ridge Farm Studio in Surrey, England in March and April 1982 and engineered by Max Norman (famed for his work with Ozzy Osbourne). It was the last album by Bad Company's original line-up and the most recent studio album to feature Paul Rodgers. The sessions were rough going from the beginning.

Diamond In Da Ruff is a track by Matt Martians, taken off his solo debut. It features contributions from Martians' The Internet bandmate Steve Lacy. It was released as a promotional single on January 18, 2017, nine days before the album’s release. The song outlines the joy Matt feels by finding his ‘diamond’ in the rough of his life while expressing how happy he is to have her, whereas the outro/hook portrays him losing feelings for the girl that was once his diamond. What have the artists said about the song? "Diamond In Da Ruff" Track Info. Written By Matt Martians.
