The Best of Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio Hour is a series of four compilation albums featuring songs Bob Dylan played on his shows as a deejay on the XM Satellite Radio and Sirius XM Satellite Radio program, Theme Time Radio Hour, from May 2006 through April 2009. Each album in the series includes 52 songs on two CDs. The tracks cover the range of genres Dylan highlighted on the program, including blues, R&B, rockabilly, doo-wop, soul, jazz, rock-and-roll and country.
Another cheap attempt at cashing in on the success of Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio shows. While the original shows centered around Dylan's unique presentation, his voice cannot even be heard on this release (or similar ones). Reply See 2 replies Notify me Helpful.

Bob Dylans Theme Time Radio Hour - The Best Of The Third Series by Bob Dylan Audio CD £1. 8. Only 3 left in stock (more on the way). Following the huge success of Chrome Dreams first collection of tracks taken from Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio Shows, his weekly on air stint during which he plays the songs that have remained closest to his heart over the years, here is volume two. Offering a further selection from the initial series, this latest 2 CD set features one further track from every show Dylan presented in the first series, as aired on the XFM radio station, between May 2006 and May 2007.
Bob Dylan transformed songwriting in the 20th century by dumping everything into a creative blender, from beat poetry to ancient ballads restrung with vibrantly new lyrics, and he has been inherently postmodern, well aware - even if it was by accident - of how to navigate the emerging ocean of pop culture and the blessing/curse of celebrity. And he's done it with his integrity and privacy intact - quite a feat. Call it all a dialogue with America. Hopefully everyone is listening.
