A grab bag of previously released singles and otherwise unheard numbers, Structured Disasters is by default a fragmented (even in comparison to other early Hood releases) but still enjoyable collection. One can almost audibly hear the band start to forge its own particular yet wide-ranging approach over the course of the collection, which appears to be organized chronologically. Hood are an English indie rock band from Leeds, formed in 1991  . In 1994, record labels Fluff and Slumberland Records released Hood's first full length album, Cabled Linear Traction. Slumberland also released 1996's Silent '88, and the following year Happy Go Lucky Records released Structured Disasters, a compilation of tracks from singles. In 2003, most of the band's single and compilation tracks from the years since Structured Disasters were collected on Singles Compiled (a double CD), and Compilations 1995-2002

Structured Disasters is the third full-length records for the Leeds-based band Hood. The LP version was released in 1996 and the CD version was released in 1997. Both versions are on the Happy Go Lucky Records label. The LP version came with a 7" record. Track listing - References.
