The film clip for Paved With Gold by The Everys, released as their second single by Polygram in 1988. Video directed by Salik Silverstein. Audio recorded and mixed at Metropolis, Melbourne by Ian "Mac" Mackenzie. Paved With Gold was later included on the album Everyone. Thanks to Tyson Koh at Rage for resurrecting the video (720 x 576). Audio remastered for digital release by Don Bartley at Benchmark Mastering. The audio is the full album track, but the single version used for the film clip seems to have been sped up, so digital skulduggery has been used to put the audio back in sync.

VERSE 1) We live our daily lives in silence as the time flies by But tonight, I'm rising up to let it all out My every hope and doubt And everything I've dreamed about It's mine, to seize in this moment now Before the light is gone Before the final curtain is drawn I'm calling out to everyone.

The 15th Sabbath album doesn’t sound much like Sabbath at all. The riffs are conventional mainstream metal: it would have sounded perfectly of its time five years earlier, but by 1990 – with Ozzy Osbourne-era Sabbath being exhumed by grunge and stoner bands – something more like the band of 20 years before might have hit home a lot harder. 15. John Fogerty’s ‘Wrote a Song for Everyone’ falls somewhere between a tribute record and a duets album. The former Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman appears on all 14 songs, most of which come from his legendary catalog that spans 40-plus years. And on all but a couple of cuts, he performs with some big-name genre-crossing artists, including Foo Fighters, Kid Rock and Miranda Lambert. As is the case with so many tribute records and duet albums, ‘Wrote a Song for Everyone’ pretty much relies on the strength of the songs and collaborators . Two new forgettable solo cuts round out ‘Wrote a Song for Everyone,’ along with a lumbering version of ‘Lodi’ featuring Fogerty and his two teenage sons. Wrote a Song for Everyone’ isn’t about rediscovery or reinterpretation. It’s about congratulating Fogerty on four decades of great music. But he earned that applause years ago.
