artist: Electric Skychurch Los Angeles-based ambient techno mystics Electric Skychurch comprised composer and producer James Lumb, vocalist Roxanne Morganstern and percussionist Alex Spurkel. The atmospheric Together EP followed in 1996.

While officially only a single rather than a full album, Together actually outstrips Knowoneness as being the group's best release from its earliest days. While Knowoneness was a pleasant enough debut, Together pumps up both the artistry and energy for some prime, cream of the crop Southern California '90s techno. Partially this is thanks to the expanded lineup of the group, with David De Laski helping out on additional programming and instruments, while Roxanne Morgenstern joins the band full time as the vocalist.

An album uniting organic, analog and digital elements into a collection of visionary soundscapes, Knowoneness sweeps from ethno-ambience to sequencer trance to deep ambient-dub. The trippy (some would say dippy) vocals on tracks like "Radiate" veer close to relegating Knowoneness into overly mystical Deep Forest/Enigma territory.

Electric Skychurch is an electronic or acid trance band based in Los Angeles, California. It was formed in 1991 by composer and producer James Lumb, who initially involved vocalist Roxanne Morganstern and percussionist Alex Spurkel in the project. Over time, Electric Skychurch has also included such musicians as Leigh Gorman of Bow Wow Wow. The band has worked with record labels such as Los Angeles-based electronic music label Moonshine Music.
