The Disco Demands series started sometime in the early 2000s - I couldn't give you an exact year because it didn't feel like a big deal, so I never noted it. Too bad, as already mentioned by other users, the collection would be beautiful if there had been no remakes by the DJ, luckily the best song for me "get ready" has not been retouched, grade 2

Really disappointing, as has been mentioned the majority of these have been edited - and not outstandingly well either, simple cut and paste that sounds a bit silly on the wonderful Curtis* - How Can I Tell Her and adds nothing (and cuts out a fair bit of the original). Can't understand why either, some of these have been extended so it's obviously not to save time.

Some great tunes on here with high quality transfers but unfortunately almost all are marred (for me) by clumsy edits that sound totally out of sync with the originals.

"Sylvano Santorio - We've Got It" sounds like influenced by "Deodato - Super Strut" (1973).And be aware that the Curtis track here is not the original verison but an edit.

Just recorded Sizzle - Love is all around, because it lacks a lot in the low end. Spectrometer says it has no audible sound in the range between 27Hz and 220Hz. So either it was eq'ed heavily or it is the same in the original (which i doubt). This however makes at least this song unplayable :/

sounds like you're having problems with the lower mono range, arent you cancelling the bottom end with inverted phases or DC offset? these are blind guesses as the "Love is all around" I know is all about the bass/kick ..and I cant imagine a test press lacking anything below 220 Hz would be accepted - at least the recent repress sounds ok to me.

Great compilation of lesser known but high quality disco tunes.One caveat - many of the tunes have been inexplicably edited for the compilation. Why anyone would want a compilation such as this marred by edits is beyond me, as some of the better breaks are simply not there. Too bad, as otherwise it's great.
