Wise Up and Rock is the 14th studio album and 19th album overall by Christian parody band ApologetiX. All the songs parodied were released in the 1980s. This is the 1st album to feature Todd Waites on keyboards. The cover of the album is a reference to Loverboy's Get Lucky. Working for the Weakened" - 3:38. Yet another amazing recording!! As with all the ApologetiX recordings I have, this is a spectacular collection of parodies done professionally in the style of the original arists. However, THESE versions are edifying, educating (about God and Scripture), and entertaining through and through. The ApologetiX perform a very convincing Dire Straits, Rush, Night Ranger, Van Halen, Bruce Hornsby, Toto Rick Springfield, Bon Jovi, and more. It's awesome to get to listen to such great music with lyrics I can enjoy on many levels (with my kids as well)! StupidBirds, 12/15/2012.
