Burning Up is the debut roots-style reggae album by Sizzla. It was released on September 5, 1995, on the Jamaican label RAS. All songs were written by Sizzla and produced by Philip "Fatis" Burrell.

Between 1999's South of Boredom and 2002's Oh Tahoe, Beezewax would release a number of singles and EPs, among them the Burning Up in Style 7" single on Norway's SuperDuperHero's Recordings. On the single's title track and its B-side, "The Bad Ways Stick," the Norwegian power pop quartet expands its sound to include trumpet (courtesy of guest Guro Kraft), while making piano a prominent part of the mix for the first time.

After releasing their first album in 1997 they ended up on their first UK tour. Still very young, and kind of out of place in the UK punk and hard core scene with their Dinosaur Jr. meets Buffalo Tom via Hüsker Dü style pop. But being out of place is where they thrive, and that scene became their home away from home. What you’ve got is classic Beezewax. The album is produced by lead singer Kenneth Ishak in his studio in Oslo, with mixing help from Jorge Elbrecht (Ariel Pink, Violens) in New York. The band will bring their guitars and embark on their first tour since 2006 in the UK with the young and promising indie-punk band Playlounge in May, before heading to the Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona.
