All that is on this compilation of the best electro tracks from the label Celluloid, that I made exactly 15 years ago for the Parisian house label Distance Music. Shortly before, journalist and DJ Jean-Yves Leloup chose one of the songs from my solo project Nature for his compilation Highway & Landscape 2 – Deep Beats & Chilled Breaks. It was the second volume of a series he ran for Distance Music. In the process, the record company releases an EP of Nature, featuring the track from the compilation. This is how I come into contact with its founder and owner, Jean Karakos. Then in 1981, Celluloid opens a subsidiary in New York that releases some seminal records of hip hop and electro. This is the best of these pieces that I gathered on this compilation, by drawing in the personal collection of Jean Karakos, as well as mine-I had bought some of these 12 as a kid.
