The Chameleon Script is the first officially released full-length album recorded by the band Howards Alias. The album was released by Good Clean Fun Records on 28 October 2002 on compact disc. It was hailed as an instant classic in the rising UK ska-core scene, and received critical acclaim even from the UK's famous mainstream rock weekly, Kerrang!. The album had predominant ska brass lines and guitar upstrokes, features that Howards Alias moved away from on later releases as their sound matured.

Southampton based Howards Alias came to life at the end of 1999, and after a various self released demos and gigs, released their debut album "The Chameleon Script" (2002) on Good Clean Fun Records. After touring and promoting the album relentlessly, in January 2004 the band recorded 3 songs for a split release with US band DESA, in time for their joint UK tour.

Howards Alias were a band in the modern UK underground punk scene. They formed in 1999 in Southampton, England and blend an eclectic mix of rock, progressive, punk and ska influences into their own musical output. They permanently disbanded in April 2008. The band released four full-length albums. The first – The Chameleon Script – was released by Good Clean Fun Records in 2002, with the second and third albums being released on the Household Name Records label in 2004 and 2005 respectively.
