Except for when Buddy recites some Hendrix lyrics with some schmaltzy carnival sound effects, this cd had nothing to do with Jimi. BTW - the guitar player is first rate. But he played nothing resembling even the spirit of Hendrix. Except for using maximum distortion and every sound effect known to man, there was no psychedelia. An excellent live album! It features Buddy on drums/lead vocals with only a guitarist and bassist backing him up. A powerhouse trio. And powerhouse they are! Buddy has never been a technical master of the drums but he has one of the best solid backbeats in the business and he can sing and play at the same time which is a big plus! The guitarist on this album is Great!
