Peter Eardley Sarstedt (10 December 1941 – 8 January 2017), briefly billed early in his career as Peter Lincoln, was a British singer-songwriter and instrumentalist. He was the brother of musicians Eden Kane and Clive "Robin" Sarstedt. Although his music was classified as pop, it generally encompassed ballads derived from traditional folk music rather than traditional rock and roll. Sarstedt's final album, released in 2013, was titled Restless Heart. It was produced by Ray Singer and the single and accompanying video "Valentine," directed and produced by Lara Singer, was released on Singer Records. A third instalment of "Where Do You Go To", continuing the story of Marie-Clair, to be titled "Farewell Marie-Clair", did not materialize. United Artists UAS 29037.

The title track, "As though it were a movie" is THE song for which Peter should best be remembered, rather than the much more widely known hit single from his first LP, "Where do you go to my lovely". Not only does it have a great tune and equally good lyrics, it also has a great guitar part that utilises many of the then current vaguely psychedelic style of playing. Shame on BGO for not using the origianl mono mix of the LP that features this guitar part in a more prominent role. This is only a minor niggle though. Other songs from this LP still impress enormously. Great value for money, this double album contains completely re mastered versions of the original 'Peter Sarstedt' and 'As though it were a movie' recordings of the 1960's. Between them these two albums capture the creativity, style, imagination and off the wall humour that made Peter famous.
