The Bells is the ninth solo studio album by American musician Lou Reed, released in April 1979 by Arista Records. It is recorded in binaural sound. Several songs on the album are the product of a short-lived writing partnership between Reed and Nils Lofgren. Other of the team's work appeared on Nils' eponymous album of the same year

The Marketts were an American instrumental pop group, formed in January 1961 in Hollywood, California, by Michael Z. Gordon. They are best known for their 1963 million-seller, "Out of Limits". The Marketts' line-up featured Michael Z. Gordon and various session musicians from the Los Angeles area, including drummer Hal Blaine. The group name was originally spelled "Mar-Kets"

And the people-ah, the people- They that dwell up in the steeple, All alone, And who tolling, tolling, tolling, In that muffled monotone, Feel a glory in so rolling On the human heart a stone- They are neither man nor woman- They are neither brute nor human- They are Ghouls: And their king it is who tolls; And he rolls, rolls, rolls, Rolls A pæan from the bells! And his merry bosom swells With the pæan of the bells!

All seem to say Throw cares away. Christmas is here Bringing good cheer To young and old Meek and the bold Ding dong ding dong That is their song With joyful ring All caroling. One seems to hear Words of good cheer From everywhere Filling the air. Oh how they pound Raising the sound O'er hill and dale Telling their tale. Gloria in excelsis deo Gloria, gloria. All seem to say. Christmas is here Bringing good cheer To young and old Meek and the bold Ding dong ding dong That is their song With joyful ring All caroling

Orville and Wilbur Wright invented and flew the first airplane, changing the concept of long-distance travel forever. Wing warping is a method of arching the wingtips slightly to control the aircraft's rolling motion and balance. Lessons From Birdwatching. The Wright Brothers spent a great deal of time observing birds in flight. The Wright brothers built a movable track to help launch the Flyer. This downhill track would help the aircraft gain enough airspeed to fly. After two attempts to fly this machine, one of which resulted in a minor crash, Orville Wright took the Flyer for a 12-second, sustained flight on December 17, 1903. This was the first successful powered and piloted flight in history. In 1904, the first flight lasting more than five minutes took place on November 9th. The Flyer II was flown by Wilbur Wright.

How the bells, sweet silver bells All seem to say, "Throw cares away. Christmas is here, bringing good cheer To young and old, meek and the bold Ding, dong, ding, dong, that is their song, With joyful ring, all caroling One seems to hear words of good cheer From everywhere, filling the air Oh!, how they pound, raising their sound O'er hill and dale, telling their tale
