Turkish minimalist Onur Özer releases his debut album 'Kaşmir' on Vakant next month. zer started out as a DJ, championing minimal techno in Istanbul from 1999. His first twelve as a producer arrived in 2005, followed by tracks on Freude Am Tanzen and Vakant, including this year's much acclaimed single 'Red Cabaret'. Kaşmir' is both Özer and Vakant's first artist album, and promises to meld orchestral instrumentation, modern techno rhythms and a hint of Eastern influence from Özer's hometown.

Of course we are talking about Onur Özer’s album Kasmir, the gift that keeps on giving. Once again renowned artists have come out in full force reworking selected tracks off Onur’s album for Vakant’s remix-only VR. First up is Mr. Rajko Müller, better known as Isolée, who having spent some time growing up in Algeria, continues with the African remixer theme (Tunisian born Loco Dice remixed Eclipse on part 1. You know us, as if we even need an excuse to work in Africa somehow.
