In late 2009 the band went into a supposed hiatus after heavy touring schedules through 2008 and 2009. But it turned out that the band had actually split. The Troubadours announced in October 2011 that they would be reforming and went on to perform a sell-out show at the Liverpool Lomax on Friday 23 December.
