So, Hardcore is big in the UK again. Everyone and their illegitimate step-sister are buying it and playing it everywhere you go. Not a minute goes by when you don't have some guy, probably lacking a driving license fly by with a cd of some new hardcore compilation blasting out at levels that would make an engine explosion inaudible. However here's the problem, to make hardcore cool it's been stripped down from what made it good a mere 10-15 years ago and almost every good track has been raped and pillaged at least once since. This compilation is a prime example of that. The 3 cd's have been put together with a minimal emphasis on quality and a maximum on ruining as many old classics as possible (see bootlegs mix for more). If you really want to get a true picture of good hardcore music this isn't really the place to go. The once legendary Stu Allan & DJ Seduction have been reduced by the material they now have to work with. It's sad that they've had to go so low, but it's cool now so it will sell. Unfortunately history has many better albums which never got the exposure they should've and which are well worth checking out, unlike this. It's quite possibly the worst cd i've ever heard.
