Bliss Torn From Emptiness is similar in respects to some of Nadja's material. It's extremely slow, low and repetitive. Nadja are a band that have been able to use these elements of music to their advantage though. They harness these aspects of music and use them to the best of their abilities. Nadja's Bliss Torn From Emptiness is somewhat different to the previous Nadja full-lengths though. Although on the whole it is quite repetitive in places for long periods of time, it does include some major variation at times. This is the case in terms of moods and tones most of the time. Bliss Torn From Emptiness doesn't quite match the sheer transcendence and widescreen vision of the latest hour long album Thaumogenesis, but for a first attempt at writing crazy long songs it's quite a successful one. In this release, Nadja haven't really gotten around to reinventing the wheel.
