Old New Borrowed Blue is the 19th studio album by folk rock band Fairport Convention, although for this release, they were billed as "Fairport Acoustic Convention" as it was the band's first all-acoustic album in 29 years. Part studio, part live, it was recorded to publicise a tour of the United States and consisted of cover versions, new songs and classic tracks dating back to the band's early career. Dave Mattacks, who had provided drums and electronic instrumentation for previous albums, was absent.

Old New Borrowed Blue is a music studio album recording by FAIRPORT CONVENTION (Prog Related/Progressive Rock) released in 1996 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. Only for completionists (12%).

Old New Borrowed Blue is the 19th studio album by folk rock band Fairport Convention, although for this release, they were billed as "Fairport Acoustic Convention" as it was the band's first all-acoustic album in 29 years. Part studio, part live, it was recorded to publicise a tour of the United States and consisted of cover versions, new songs. and classic tracks dating back to the band's early career. Vocalists Judy Dyble and Iain Matthews joined them before the recording of their self-titled debut in 1968; afterwards, Dyble was replaced by Sandy Denny, with Matthews leaving during the recording of their third album. Denny began steering the group towards traditional British music for their next two albums, What We Did on Our Holidays and Unhalfbricking (both 1969;) the latter.

Cassette - Green Linnet. This is Fairport Convention's first all-acoustic album in their 29 year history. The material, recorded variously in the studio and at December 30, 1995 concert, displays the eclectic nature of the 1990's version of the band, folk-styled originals such as "There Once Was Love/Innstruck" juxtaposed with covers of James Taylor and Loudon Wainwright III songs, reprises of vintage Fairport numbers like Richard Thompson's "Genesis Hall," "Crazy Man Michael," and the epic.
