I use to own this album back in the early 1980's. When cd players came out I bought it on disc and still treasure it. To me, the "Great Performances" series rivaled Deutsche Gramophone and Telarc for quality sound and production (back in the 80's)! This truly was and still is a Great Performace !! Bernstien and The New York Philharmonic created a legacy in my mind with this recording ! Mars, is potent, mighty, and forceful. Venus was like the calm after the storm with a bit of anticipation and forshadowing.
