Trio Corrente Formed in 2001 by the drummer Edu Ribeiro, the pianist Fabio Torres and the bass player Paulo Paulelli, Trio Corrente has been creating an original music, interpreting in a unique way the classics of the ‘choro’, the MPB (Popular Brazilian Music) and of their growing authorial repertoire. In 2011, the Trio Corrente recorded their second album Volume 2. In 2013, with the legendary Cuban saxophonist and 14 Grammys winner, Paquito D’Rivera, the album Song For Maura won the Grammy Award and the Latin Grammy Award, both in the Best Latin Jazz Album category.
