A great song written by the band Native Window, who branched off of Kansas.
Not long ago, the members of Kansas found themselves in a bit of an uncertain situation, to say the least.
Features Song Lyrics for Native Window's Native Window album.

Native Window is an American progressive rock spin-off band of the popular rock group Kansas. Native Window formed in 2008 as a Kansas side project. After their 1998 album Always Never the Same, /songwriter Steve Walsh decided that he was finished with his writing career for Kansas (he did release two solo albums before retiring from the group altogether in 2014: 2000's Glossolalia and 2005's Shadowman)
Native Window is the self-titled debut album of American progressive rock band Native Window. It was released on June 23, 2009. The tracks on the album are all original material composed by the members of the band. The album came about soon after the band formed; it was because Steve Walsh, the lead singer for Kansas, would not write any new material. Phil Ehart, Rich Williams, Billy Greer, and David Ragsdale got together to write new songs, and released them under the Native Window name.

The 2009 self-titled debut release from Native Window absolutely reflects the soaring melodic/mainstream sounds of Kansas. And there's a good reason for this, as Native Window are essentially Kansas without the group's longtime chief songwriters, Steve Walsh and Kerry Livgren. David Ragsdale, Phil Ehart, Rich Williams, and Billy Greer all keep the essence of Kansas alive throughout this ten-song set, with Greer handling lead vocals (and the whole group supplying some pretty sweet harmony vocals).
