Fans of Kristoffer Ragnstam will be happy to find that he hasn't lost his wry wit or self-effacing songwriting on his second full album, but there's even more power and drive to his songs circa 2008 compared to his debut. The opener, "Stop on Top," definitely pulls out all the stops; it's heavily guitar-oriented and distorted, displaying the chops of drummer Per Eklund.

Kristoffer Ragnstam's good nature was an immediately appealing part of the Swedish 2007 debut, Sweet Bills. And because of this, you tended to forgive if the album careened hectically through choruses that seemed just a bit too familiar. What was already clear back then was Ragnstam's easy familiarity with both the studio and the little twistings of instrumentation that generate and sustain interest (in one memorable instance, he uses "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" to build the promise of a new love).
