Goldman may be best known as a writer, having penned books about Bob Marley and Kid Creole & the Coconuts in addition to writing for NME, The New York Times, The Village Voice, and numerous other publications.

Vivien Goldman (born 25 August 1954) is a British journalist, writer and musician. Goldman was born in London, the child of two German-Jewish refugees from Nazi Germany. She studied English and American literature at the University of Warwick. Goldman began her career as a journalist for Cassettes and Cartridges. She then became a PR officer for Atlantic Records and then Island Records, where she worked with Bob Marley.
