The Montreux Jazz Festival (formerly Festival de Jazz Montreux and Festival International de Jazz Montreux) is a music festival in Switzerland, held annually in early July in Montreux on the Lake Geneva shoreline. It is the second largest annual jazz festival in the world after Canada's Montreal International Jazz Festival. The Montreux Jazz Festival was founded in 1967 by Claude Nobs, Géo Voumard and René Langel with considerable help from Ahmet and Nesuhi Ertegün of Atlantic Records.

Gary Moore & The Midnight Blues Band – Live at Montreux 1990 is a live DVD by Gary Moore. Recorded live on 21 June 1990. Founded in 1967, the Montreux Jazz Festival is recognized as one of the most prestigious annual music events in the world. This 1990 performance was the first for Gary Moore at the event. He has since played the festival on a regular basis. This was a part of the tour supporting his Still Got the Blues album. Albert Collins was a featured guest at this performance.

The Montreux Jazz Festival was created in 1967 by Claude Nobs, René Langel, and Géo Voumard, and has since become a landmark event. Not because it draws more than 250,000 visitors, or because those two weeks in Montreux make up one of the best-known events in Europe and beyond, but rather because the Festival has kept its soul intact throughout all this growth. At Montreux, the intimacy that encourages improvisation remains a top priority.
