Nickelback's first new studio album on Roadrunner, 2001's Silver Side Up, was a huge commercial success, topping the Canadian Albums Chart, the UK Albums Chart and more, and reaching number 2 on the Billboard 200. The album was supported by lead single "How You Remind Me", which topped the US Billboard Hot 100 and was certified gold b. It was the first album since The State not to top the Canadian Albums Chart, peaking at number 2, and the lowest-charting of the band's studio albums since The Long Road, peaking at number 4.
