Baxter is the complete discography of the Chicago post-hardcore and art punk band Baxter, spread out over two CDs. It compiles all of their work from (the Troy's Bucket cassette and the Lost Voices. EP), as well as several unreleased demos. It was released in 2003 on Will Not Clear Man Records.

This is a promotional CDEP sent to college radio stations in the United States, after the album "About This" was released in Europe. It features three tracks from the album, and two bonus tracks, recorded live at Rosie's Diner. Printed on the CD cover are notes about The Syndicate promoting this EP for S56 Recordings. Odd note: the spines have a typo: 'FROM THE ALBUM "ABOUT AHIS" '.

But once you find that gem, you can’t stop talking about it. This is essentially how I felt towards Jam Baxter when I came across him. A gem amongst dusty rubble. As an artist, High Focus Records stalwart Jam Baxter is a rare breed in that he commands attention in every aspect of his craft. The stand out tracks on the album are Feeding Frenzy and Bodyslam. The former stuns you through the vagarious beat that catches you by surprise half way through, convincing you to start a mosh-pit in your mind as Baxter ramps up the speed as the track progresses. The momentum he carries through on this track incidentally defines his career to date. The latter is a display of lyrical perfection as he drops one of the hardest verses I’ve heard in hip-hop history. A targeted rant aimed at society laced in perspectives, arrogance, humor and introspection. It’s fantastically impressive.

Baxter balances it all with humor, namely on lead single Casanova, about a sugar mama who expects to be paid back – . Until this last two years, where lots of people have kind of woken up it seems – me being one of them – there weren’t really major issues being discussed. I feel like my whole group of contemporaries are speaking out just a little bit so that everybody else can start making up their own ideas about what they’re thinking, Baxter says. He insists that, rather than breaking new ground, he was tuned into tried-and-true fundamentals. We’re all influenced by the sun and the moon and the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, he says, pointing out that the first album he owned, at the age of 6, was Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

You can only get there by passenger ferry and the town has no cars/trucks (aside from a utility vehicle). When we got there, it was grey and rainy, but that didn’t take away from the peacefully beautiful sentiment hovering over the town. The morning after the show, we were blessed with some sunlight and took to the town with cameras and guitar in hand. This is a little video showcasing the beautiful area and my song Walls off my new album Domestic. The video isn’t without flaw.
