By September 29th, Hellbilly had already shipped over 500,000 copies which earned the album a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. By November 4th the album had attained platinum status and by April of the following year multi-platinum. Three singles were released for Hellbilly including Living Dead Girl, Dragula and Superbeast– all tracks that are still played by Zombie in his live shows. Hellbilly Deluxe 2 (released with the subtitle Noble Jackals, Penny Dreadfuls and the Systematic Dehumanization of Cool) is the fourth solo studio album by former White Zombie frontman Rob Zombie. The album is a sequel to his debut album Hellbilly Deluxe. It was released on February 2, 2010, through Roadrunner Records. This is the first album with bassist Piggy D and the last with drummer Tommy Clufetos.

Rob Zombie is a bit of both. With spooky metal music that's as colorful and kitschy as its comic art, the singer's solo debut bears more than a little resemblance to his band of many years, White Zombie. These 13 tracks (yeah, there just had to be 13!) continue to explore Zombie's fascination with psychotic noise, pummeling grooves, campy samples, and all things horrific. I really got into White Zombie and Rob Zombie when I was in middle school, and out of everything, I still say that Hellbilly Deluxe is at the top of the list. The album feels like a very natural precursor to Sinister Urge after having heard both albums.

A world without Rob Zombie ’s macabre spookshow international is not a world that any sane person should want to be part of. It’s nigh-on impossible to imagine today but, prior to the release of his first post-White Zombie solo album, Hellbilly Deluxe, there were legitimate questions about the future of one of rock’s true visionaries. The album serves as his first release outside of the band White Zombie, with whom he released two multi-platinum studio albums. Hellbilly Deluxe was released on August 25, 1998 through Geffen Records. Musically, the project portrays Zombie's love for classic horror films with heavy metal and electronic music
