From the Album Voodoo (1986) This video is for fun purposes only. I own no right to this track.

The music gives one a rare chance to hear Sonny Clark in a relaxed setting, thinking aloud musically. This valuable document (which is reasonably well recorded for a live date of the era) was first released in 1975 as a Xanadu LP. Track Listing.

Voodoo (Sonny Clark Memorial Quartet album). Redirected from Voodoo (Sonny Clark Memorial Quartet)). Voodoo is an album by The Sonny Clark Memorial Quartet which comprises John Zorn on alto saxophone, Wayne Horvitz on keyboards, Ray Drummond on bass and Bobby Previte on drums. The album was released in 1986 on Black Saint Records and features the compositions of hard bop pianist Sonny Clark.

Conrad Yeatis "Sonny" Clark (July 21, 1931 – January 13, 1963) was an American jazz pianist who mainly worked in the hard bop idiom. Clark was born and raised in Herminie, Pennsylvania, a coal mining town east of Pittsburgh. His parents were originally from Stone Mountain, Georgia. His miner father, Emery Clark, died of a lung disease two weeks after Sonny was born. Sonny was the youngest of eight children. At age 12, he moved to Pittsburgh.
