Twelve and a half years after it hit big in 1951 Webb tucks into Wondering, (The Song That Started It All), for the sake of stereo and does it well. This version was part of the batch of 50's hits Webb rerecorded in stereo for Decca for the Webb Pierce Story double album released in June 1964.

The album consists of 12 gospel and inspirational songs that were either popular over the years or were written by Lynn for this album. Well known Christian songs such as "How Great Thou Art" and "In the Sweet By and By" appear on the album.
Loretta Webb and Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn famously married when she was 15 and he was 21. Loretta gave birth to the first of their six children when she was 16 and had three more kids by the time she was 20. The were together until Doolittle's death in 1996. She sort of writes with a double chorus, there isn't one chorus, per se, when you listen to her songs. She is the eldest daughter and second child born to Clara Marie "Clary" (née Ramey; May 5, 1912 – November 24, 1981) and Melvin Theodore "Ted" Webb (June 6, 1906 – February 22, 1959). Ted was a coal miner and subsistence farmer. She was named after the film star Loretta Young. The other Webb children: Melvin "Junior" Webb (December 4, 1929 – July 1, 1993). Herman Webb (September 3, 1934 – July 28, 2018).
Loretta Lynn is a chart-topping and top-selling American country music singer-songwriter. Loretta Lynn was born to Melvin ‘Ted’ Webb and Clara ‘Clary’ Marie. Her parents named her after film star Loretta Young. Two of her sisters, Crystal Gayle, and Peggy Sue also involved in a country music career and her brother Jay Lee Webb did the same. Loretta Lynn's Career. Loretta Lynn began her career as a singer who used to sings in local clubs and later she formed a band, The Trailblazers with her brother Jay Lee Webb. On February 2, 1960, she signed her first contract with Zero records. The recording session included some of her own compositions also like Whispering Sea, New Rainbow, Heartache Meet Mister Blues and I’m A Honky Tonk Girl.
