Description

Record (Zero 7 album). Record, sometimes referred as Record: The Best of Zero 7, is a compilation album by British musical duo Zero 7, released on 28 June 2010. The compilation contains material from the duo's first four studio albums

Label: Atlantic ‎– 51.

Zero 7's real roots are in the VH1 Top 20 Countdown circa the turn of the millennium, when genteel major label singer-songwriters "went electronic. Zero 7 take this already zzzz sound and proceed to scrape it clean of individuality, wit, and charm. At the band's least ambitious, which is to say 95% of their material, the results are as numbingly flat as you'd expect. You'll hear music with more personality coming out of North Korea these days. I'm not trying to be needlessly cruel here

Record, sometimes referred as Record: The Best of Zero 7, is a compilation album by British musical duo Zero 7, released on 28 June 2010. The compilation contains material from the duo's first four studio albums  . Lily Moayeri of Under the Radar said the album "is all the Zero 7 anyone could ask for-all killer, no filler. Pitchfork Media's Jess Harvell wrote that "the best-of format actually works against Zero 7 by ignoring the non-singles that added, however rarely, some much-needed variety to their albums.

Discover all of this album's music connections, watch videos, listen to music, discuss and download. Album by Zero 7. Throw It All Away (Dilla Circulate Mix). is a remix of. Throw It All Away by Zero 7 (2006). Today (Pepe Braddock WTF HPPND Remix).

Examining Record shows an inordinate number of selections taken from Zero 7's debut, 2001's Simple Things, followed by its third album, 2006's The Garden. But there are conspicuously few choices from the sophomore effort, 2004's When It Falls and its latest, 2009's Yeah Ghost. Unbalanced across the duo's career though Record is, it doesn't waste the listener's time by making them trudge through Zero 7's questionable musical moments. Record sticks with the obvious smashes.
