Rock pioneers Pixies will release their new album Beneath the Eyrie this September, and the band have trailed the record with new single On Graveyard Hill. A statement from the band’s new label BMG says, "Visceral, musically cinematic, otherworldly but strangely familiar and a bit unsettling, welcome to Pixies' brand-new studio album, Beneath the Eyrie, where tales of witches, Daniel Boone, misfits and other characters fit utterly into the band's inherent weirdness.

The album title comes from working at the Dreamland Recordings studio, where David Lovering spotted an eagles nest (known as an "eyrie"), while outside of the studio during a break in recording. During recording for the album, the band decided to open things up and give fans some insight into their process, documenting their studio work over a 12-episode podcast simply titled, It's a Pixies Podcast, that will debut June 27 via Apple, this site, Acast, Stitcher, Google and other podcasting platforms.
