Although the release of this record was underwhelming to some, you can't deny there are some bangers and gems on this LP. Stomper has a very nice catchy timbre to it and some excellent SH-101 noodling only a guy like Richard could pull off. Mumbly might not be up there with tracks like Tha, But it is real nice throwback to his SAW era and is really fun to listen to.

After striking a deal with extremely dedicated fan forum We Are The Music Makers, James, and James’ label, a Kickstarter was set up that would provide backers with a digital copy of the 70-minute album.

Caustic Window is an eponymous album by Richard D. James, under the alias Caustic Window. Originally planned for release in 1994, the album was abandoned, with only five physical copies being produced. Before being shelved, five or more copies of the album were pressed in 1994. In response, We Are the Music Makers, an electronic music forum, negotiated with Rephlex Records and initiated a Kickstarter project, in which people who contributed to the Kickstarter project received a digital copy of the album
