Description

Unlike Forlate’s last year’s solo effort, There Shall Be Time No Longer is less personal at its core and is riddled with abstract notions of time, its indeterminate and ghostly nature. These ideas are expressed through the clever use of repetition, prolonged silences and compositional metamorphoses. The tracks feel as if they are suspended in the air, unable to come to any resolution, thus making a striking metaphor for our inability to come to terms with the notion of time, its limits and limitlessness.

Forlate is a producer and electronic musician working across an eclectic array of experimental music genres. Forlate’s music draws heavily on influences of ambient music, minimalism, glitch, IDM, noise. Indeterminacy and incomprehensibility of human experience have always been the project’s conceptual focus manifested in the use of repetition, prolonged silences and compositional metamorphoses. Fantastic eclectic 14 track comp of techy bass bin rumblers and stealthy jazz infused electronics from Brazil. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 3, 2014. Forever by F i b o n a c c i. Revelation 10:6 (KJV) states that "time shall be no longer". Most modern Bible translations state that there "shall be no delay. A close friend of mine asked me to consider what Revelation 10:6 means in regards to the statement that there should be time no longer. Her thinking was that this verse is prophesying that in our future, we will get to the end of time. Time would cease to exist.

English sentences with there shall be three in context. The Act includes three dependency stages and there shall be two levels in each of them depending on the autonomy of the persons and the specific care they require (there are specific provision for child under 3 years of age).

1) Time (a finite terminable period, as opposed to eternity) shall no longer exist, but eternity shall be entered upon. 2) There shall be no more time, in the sense of "there shall be no longer any delay" in the infliction of the last judgment, set forth under the seventh trumpet. The solution seems to be that both meanings are implied. There seems to be a reference to the words of Revelation 6:11, to the ἔτι χρόνον μικρόν, during which the saints were to rest and await the infliction of God's wrath upon the ungodly.

Notes

“And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer.”

Revelation 10:6

“One of the schools of Tlön goes so far as to negate time: it reasons that the present is indefinite, that the future has no reality other than as a present memory. Another school declares that all time has already transpired and that our life is only the crepuscular and no doubt falsified and mutilated memory or reflection of an irrecoverable process.”

Jorge Luis Borges — “Tlön, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius”

On his second EP, Forlate delves deeper into the many facets of experimental and ambient sides of a music spectrum.

This new work explores new sonic possibilities in greater depth, toying with different compositional structures and conceptual ideas.
