So Happy Together is the first full-length album by Memphis indie rock band Grifters. The album was noisy and lo-fi, even by Grifters standards, much of it consisting of 4-track home recordings. Happy Together" is a the sixth track from the 1967 album of the same name by The Turtles. The song was covered by Weezer at various points in the band's career. When Spike Jonze was finishing his film Adaptation in early 2002, he asked Weezer to record "Happy Together" for inclusion in the film. The band learned to play the song during soundcheck before a show in Barcelona and demoed the song a few weeks later during the the early sessions for the band's planned fifth album.
