Luis Perdomo (Caracas, 1971) is a Venezuelan pianist and composer based in New York City since 1993. He has recorded and performed with musicians such as Ravi Coltrane, Miguel Zenón, among others, playing a style between modern straight ahead and latin jazz. Perdomo has released several albums as a leader, most notably "Universal Mind" featuring double-bassist Drew Gress and drummer Jack DeJohnette.

Luis Perdomo grew up in a home filled with music. Born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1971, Luis was exposed to just about every style of music by his father, an avid music fan and collector. Alongside salsa, Latin, R & B, and classical, the young Perdomo heard jazz greats like Bud Powell and Oscar Peterson, two of his earliest and most important musical influences. Focus Point brings to the forefront Luis’ prodigious talents both as an innovative composer/arranger and a creative and original improviser. Montage by Mark Corroto. Twenty-Two by Dave Wayne.
