Head Over Heels is the fifth studio album by Canadian electro-funk duo Chromeo. It was released on June 15, 2018, via Big Beat and Atlantic Records. The album features vocals from artists such as The-Dream, French Montana, Stefflon Don, DRAM and Amber Mark, with production work from producers such as Raphael Saadiq, Rodney Jerkins and Pino Palladino. The album was first announced in November 2017 and a release date for the album in April 2018.

Head Over Heels aims lower than its counterpart from a few years ago, and in all fairness, does achieve a funky kind of farce. Chromeo rounded up some studio legends-Jesse Johnson, who co-wrote classics like The Bird and Jungle Love as an original member of the Time; Raphael Saadiq, who seemingly produced every hit of the ’90s; and Rodney Darkchild Jerkins, who did the same in the ’00s, or at least those not produced by The-Dream, who also sings on this. album-and enlisted their solid musicianship in the service of some really dumb ideas

Fifth album Head Over Heels attempts to re-create the formula that made White Women so beguiling, this time upping the ante with a who's who of special guest performers and producers. The album begins with "Must've Been," a bouncy, summery single featuring DRAM on lead vocals. It's an undeniably fun song, and Chromeo bed DRAM's jaunty performance with neatly polished signature sounds from their bag of tricks. Over 15 years into their craft at this point, Chromeo have sharpened their vision to a state of crystal clarity, and the duo seem just as engaged and excited in songs without special guests. Bad Decision" rides its groove to a bounding chorus, sizzling funk guitar leads, and slick vocals, all punctuated by "Atomic Dog"-like woofing sitting just right in the mix. "Juice" is another stand-alone standout, with rubbery synths and tight vocal harmonies building as they bump along.
