Description

The Gun Store - an instrumental track with frozen atmosphere, fantastic sound effects and a melody that comes and goes. There is a Sample of a voice from a movie that repeats itself. Mortal - the last track on the album ( instrumental track) - Beautiful hypnotic track The album stays in the creepier side, and much like their Myspace page claims, Vomito Negro is steeped in film noir influence. This would make perfect horror movie music. I prefer listening to it in the dead of night before bed or on a walk. Vomito Negro knows how to take minimalism and film noir roots and make something satisfyingly blood curdling. Antworten Mich bei Antworten benachrichtigen 1 Helpful.

The name is Spanish and Portuguese for "black vomit", a phenomenon that arises in the last stage of the disease yellow fever. After numerous successful releases like Shock, Human and The New Drug, and discontent with the result of their last studio album Fireball, Gin Devo decided to put Vomito Negro aside for a while and to invest all his energy and creativity in his new project called Pressure Control and released the debut album Vamp.

An excellent album : the music has a minimalist approach , the atmosphere is dark and Hypnotic . There are 7 instrumental tracksMy favorite tracks; XTC - Powerful and Emotional vocals, outstanding vocals! ,the music and the vocals are just waves of sadness and anger , the song has very strong lyrics and amazing music production. A mesmerizing song , one of the best songs in the band's discography. The System - Dark electro industrial song about love and Jealousy to a woman after the breakup from the point of view of the singer .The first part of the song expresses sadness and in the second part the Fury erupts. To Auto Logos - Experimental Dark ambient track , the music takes you to a distant and mysterious Galaxy.Recover -Superb EBM track with a voice that repeats itself , this repetition adds power to the music .Blind Eyes - this song has a rhythm and very Cold vocals . The lyrics expresses frustration and sadness. The New Drug - Very dark electro-industrial track , there is huge amount of Reverb effect on the vocals and on the music, the feeling is that the music and the vocals come from huge black hole in space .The Gun Store - an instrumental track with frozen atmosphere , fantastic sound effects and a melody that comes and goes. There is a Sample of a voice from a movie that repeats itself .Mortal - the last track on the album ( instrumental track) - Beautiful hypnotic track . Great track to end a very interesting album.

Their best IMO next to Shock. The minimalist, mostly instrumental concept didn't work on Human very well IMO, but it works here. The album sounds more focused, whereas Human was jumping all over the place and often got boring. Next to Skinny Puppy: Bites, this is the first album in a long time that actual frightens me to a certain degree, and thats why I like it. :) For those of you wanting dancy EBM, there's not much here for you, except maybe 'Blind Eyes' or the title track. Those of you who loved to listen to the largely instrumental track Skinny Puppy 'Bites' album, this should be up your alley. The album stays in the creepier side, and much like their Myspace page claims, Vomito Negro is steeped in film noir influence. This would make perfect horror movie music. I prefer listening to it in the dead of night before bed or on a walk. Stuff like opening/closing 'Immortal/Mortal', 'Umbriferous' and 'Daddy' are exceptionally goosebump giving. 'To Auto Logos' is a pure nightmare sure to make your blood chill at every turn. Occasional vocal tracks emerge like 'System', 'XTC' 'Blind Eyes' and the ominous title track. Vomito Negro knows how to take minimalism and film noir roots and make something satisfyingly blood curdling. Highly recommended.
