Bossa nova aficionado and Italian jazz great Nicola Conte returns a third time to vintage Brazilian popular music on the latest volume in the Viagem series. These 18 tracks were compiled after listening to hundreds of recordings from the Blue Note, Universal, and Schema labels; all cuts were released between 1963 and 1970. This set reaches deeper into bossa and samba than either of the two previous volumes

Italian producer, DJ, and musician Nicola Conte continues his exploration of swinging Brazilian sounds with the collection Viagem 4. The Viagem series digs into the Blue Note, Universal, and Schema label vaults - this time selecting 17 tracks spanning 1962 to 1970 - homing in on the bossa nova and samba jazz sounds that made Brazil the ultimate destination for cool, exotic sophistication.

Italian DJ and producer Nicola Conte is a great enthusiast of Brazilian bossa nova. That becomes clear after listening to Viagem 3 – A Collection of 60’s Brazilian Bossa Nova and Jazz Samba, the third CD in his Viagem series. Filled with rarities and undiscovered tunes from Brazilian music, this CD is an invitation to a viagem (or a trip) to the soothing rhythm of bossa nova. However, it must be said that the eighteen tracks are not exclusively dedicated to bossa nova. It was in this decade that Brazil went through a violent period of military dictatorship and censorship over music.
