Une Éclipse Totale De Soleil. Overview (current section).

This was Ghedalia Tazartes' third album, originally released in 1979 and reissued on CD with a more recently recorded third part added on. His strange collages do not fit comfortably with any classification of music, but are rather in a universe of their own, in the same way that material by Harry Partch and Jean Dubuffet seem to defy any previous influences.

Ghédalia Tazartès (Musical Artist), Une éclipse Totale De Soleil, experimental, full album, electroacustic, field recordings, musique concrete, Loading. A sonic Renaissance man and a musical nomad who freely transgresses various aural topographies, Ghédalia Tazartès, born in 1947, first embarked on his long journey as artist and medium in 1979-at least officially-when he released his first album Diasporas. As its title denotes, Tazartès, a descendant of a Ladino community, of Judaeo-Spanish heritage, explores the notion of disembodied nations and voices.
