Speed of Life" is the first instrumental by David Bowie. It is the opening track for his album Low from 1977. Speed of Life" introduces the Low album, and, coupled with the similarly upbeat instrumental "A New Career in a New Town", provides a front bookend for the A-side of the album.
A black hole is a region of spacetime exhibiting gravitational acceleration so strong that nothing-no particles or even electromagnetic radiation such as light-can escape from it. The theory of general relativity predicts that a sufficiently compact mass can deform spacetime to form a black hole. The boundary of the region from which no escape is possible is called the event horizon.
The boundary between the interior and exterior of a black hole is called the event horizon. Enormous black holes, some of them millions of times more massive than the sun, have been discovered at the center of nearly every galaxy, including our own Milky Way. Bottomless Questions. If you use Einstein's theories to determine what occurs at the bottom of a black hole, you'll calculate a spot that is infinitely dense and infinitely small: a hypothetical concept called a singularity. But infinities aren't typically found in nature. The compacting process halts, according to Dr. Poplawski, because black holes spin. And this spin endows the compacted seed with a huge amount of torsion. It's not just small and heavy; it's also twisted and compressed, like one of those jokey spring-loaded snakes in a can.

Most black holes tend to be in a consistent spinning motion. This motion absorbs various matter and spins it within the ring (known as the Event Horizon) that is formed around the black hole. The matter keeps within the Event Horizon until it has spun into the centre where it is concentrated within the core adding to the mass. Such spinning black holes are known as Kerr Black Holes
The concept of a black hole can be understood by thinking about how fast something needs to move to escape the gravity of another object – this is called the escape velocity. Formally, escape velocity is the speed an object must attain to "break free" of the gravitational attraction of another body. There are two things that affect the escape velocity – the mass of object and the distance to the center of that object. But the speed of light is the cosmic speed limit, so it would be impossible to escape that tiny sphere, if you got close enough. The radius at which a mass has an escape velocity equal to the speed of light is called the Schwarzschild radius. Any object that is smaller than its Schwarzschild radius is a black hole – in other words, anything with an escape velocity greater than the speed of light is a black hole.
The distant supermassive black hole would ordinarily be too faint to measure, but a rare lineup with a massive elliptical galaxy created a natural telescope known as a gravitational lens that allowed scientists to study the faraway object. The gravitational lens is crucial," study co-author Mark Reynolds of the University of Michigan told Space "Without this, we would not be able to collect X-ray photons to measure the spin of a black hole that is so distant. Measuring the radius of the disk allowed the astronomers to calculate the black hole's spin speed, which was almost half the speed of light. The team would have been unable to measure the spin without a rare lineup in space. A giant elliptical galaxy lies between Earth and the quasar J1131.
