The discography of Muse, an English rock band, consists of eight studio albums, two live albums, one compilation album, five extended plays (EPs), 41 singles, two video albums, 59 music videos and four other appearances. Formed in Teignmouth, Devon in 1994, the band signed with Mushroom Records in the United Kingdom and Maverick Records in the United States before releasing their debut album Showbiz in 1999.

The title "Uprising" was first revealed on 3 July 2009, when the album's track listing was released sporadically on the band's Twitter page; the song was unveiled as the opening track of the album, preceding the title track "Resistance". However it is delivered in a similar vein: Conspiracy, Apocalyps. e announces a union, speaks of victory that they do not control.
