Uffe Elbæk (born 15 June 1954, Ry Højskole) is a Danish social worker, author, journalist, entrepreneur, politician and political leader of the green political party The Alternative. From 3 October 2011 to December 2012 he served as the Danish Minister of Culture. He was originally a member of the Danish Social Liberal Party, but left in September 2013 to launch The Alternative with Josephine Fock.

Uffe's debut EP, Colors Outside, which included the acclaimed track "When the Sun Rose," arrived in 2012 on the Catz 'n' Dogz imprint Pets Recordings, and was followed later that year by the Straess EP, his Tartelet Records debut. After delivering remixes for Crosstown Rebels and Get Physical, Christensen returned to Pets for 2013's Times All EP. The track "Lemon Nights" appeared on 2014's Tartelet compilation, heralding the release of Uffe's debut album on the label.
