Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan, Axl Rose, Dizzy Reed, Matt Sorum, The Waters. The album was released on September 17, 1991, the same day as its counterpart album Use Your Illusion I. Both of the albums were released in conjunction with the Use Your Illusion Tour. Bolstered by the lead single You Could Be Mine, Use Your Illusion II was the slightly more popular of the two albums, selling 770,000 copies its first week and debuting at No. The thematic material deals less with drug use than previous Guns N' Roses albums. Use Your Illusion I featured mostly songs pre-Appetite for Destruction while Use Your Illusion II featured more tracks written during and after Appetite For Destruction. It is the last Guns N' Roses album to feature rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin. It also included the last Guns N' Roses song to feature drummer Steven Adler, who played on Civil War.

Featuring no less than four songs that run over six minutes, II is heavy on epics, whether it's the charging funk metal of "Locomotive," the antiwar "Civil War," or the multipart "Estranged. As if an attempt to balance the grandiose epics, the record is loaded with an extraordinary amount of filler

Same as UYI 1, vinyl noisy between tracks and was filthy requiring a clean before playing. Very thick vinyl, feels more like 200g than some 180g releases. Protective sleeves are nasty cardboard, had to partially rip the glued edge remove one record due to the static sealing the two together. From memory, both 1 & 2 sound as close to the originals I had in 1991, maybe a bit heavier on bass, they still clip and are far from audiophile, but if you want that you are missing the point of GnR. Turn it up load and worry your tweeters.

I haven't got or heard the original vinyl release of these LPs but these reissue/remastered both sound great to me
