Idles release new single Stendhal Syndrome via Balley Records taken from debut album 'Brutalism' (also 10th March)
Following their critically acclaimed single 'Well Done', Bristol's finest post-pun polemics Idles are now at the forefront of ones to watch for 2017 as championed by The Guardian, Live Nation Source, DIY and NME. Furiously charged, refreshingly confrontational and infectiously volatile, Idles bring the unsettling reality of the world we live into their frantic assault on the senses. They are a band for you and are here to show they care.
Idles will play Omeara London 28th January followed by an extensive UK tour in March and April. March: Portland Arms Cambridge (6th March), The Fleece Bristol (8th), Arts Centre Colchester (9th), Moth Club London (10th), The Hobbit Southampton (12th), The Hare and Hounds Birmingham (14th), Boileroom Guildford (15th), The Bullingdon Oxford (20th), The Plug Sheffield (21st), Think Tank Newcastle (22nd), Tunnels Aberdeen (23rd), Buskers Dundee (24th), Sneaky Pete's Edinburgh (25th), The Crescent York (27th), The Adelphi Hull (28th), The Bodega Nottingham (29th), O2 Academy 2 Liverpool (30th), Unity Hall Wakefield (31st). April: The Sugarmill Stoke-on-Trent (3rd), Guildhall Preston (4th) and Clwb Ifor Bach Cardiff (5th). They will also join The Macabees on their farewell tour, playing Alexandra Palace London on 29th, 30th June and 1st July.

Brutalism is the first album by Bristol band Idles, released in March 2017. The band started recording the album in 2015. Singer Joseph Talbot's mother (who is pictured on the album cover along with a sculpture by Talbot and his father) died during the recording of the album after a long illness, and his time caring for her, and her death, had a major impact on the album, with Talbot later stating "She was that album. That's why she was on the cover.
